$$ Money In/Money Out $$
Ever wonder how your tax money is spent? Well, the following is how the Dearborn County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) uses the money that it receives from several different places. This money is used to educate the public on conservation practices and to directly place conservation of natural resources on the ground.

Each Cost-Share Program directly puts money back into Dearborn County by the use of contractors, fuel, equipment rental, seed sales, fertilizer sales, fencing sales, erosion control products, etc.

The SWCD also receives support from organizations for use at field days, educational workshops or for conservation practices. Some of these include:
All these programs, activities and cost share helps to add directly back to Dearborn County. Through the above mentioned we are working to improve the water quality of Tanner's Creek and South Laughery Creek, add conservation practices to private lands, educate the public of conservation efforts and provide public service to all citizens.
