SWCD Board of Supervisors

BRAD DAWSON

Vice Chairman - Brad serves on the Tanner's Creek Steering Committee and Urban Issues Committee. Brad acts as an advisor to homeowners on conservation, horticultural design and management.
Brad resides in Dearborn County and is the owner/operator of Dawson's Greenworks on State Road 1 near St. Leon. He has served on the SWCD Board since 2001.

MARSHALL ALFORD

Member - Marshall operates a cash grain crop and custom farming operation near Moores Hill. He serves on the Drill Committee. He has implemented several conservation practices on his farm including no-till corn, no-till soybeans, grassed waterways, crop rotation and has cover crops. Marshall has served on the SWCD Board since 1991.

JOHN KRUSE

Member - John is a member of the 4-H and Community Fair Board and has been a member of Sunman Jaycees, Extension Board, SE Purdue Ag Center Advisory Board, FFA, Church Council and Farm Tour host. John lives on a farm near Sunman in Jackson Township and has a hay and grain operation. His conservation practices include no-till, grassed waterways, cover crops, wildlife management and hayland management. John was elected to the SWCD Board in 2003.

TED FOWLER

Chairman - Ted is Chair of the SWCD Urban Issues Committee. A former high school science teacher and currently, a professor at the University of Cincinnati training science teachers how to teach, he is also a consultant to industry on curriculum development and training approaches. Ted also works part-time for NIOSH-CDC as a safety materials writer and researcher and is especially interested in nature conservation and biodiversity.
He operates an 85 acre forest products farm with a saw mill/wood shop on Laughery Creek.

RANDY ICKENROTH

Member - Randy owns and operates a farm in Moores Hill where he has implemented several conservation practices including waterways.
